Simon has experience across the full life cycle from secondments into the UK Ministry of Defence leading complex equipment procurements to leading the submarine defueling and disposals programme in Babcock. Simon has led a major performance improvement campaign to drive up UK submarine availability, he was the Strategy Director and Chief of Staff for Babcock\u2019s Nuclear business and was the Major Bid Director for the multi-billion pound Future Maritime Support Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Simon\u2019s current role, he is responsible for Babcock\u2019s strategic relationship with the UK Cabinet Office and leads the Strategic Partnering Programme across the Babcock Group. Simon is also responsible for strategic relationships with industry partners to enable the realisation of Babcock\u2019s growth strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simon is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Marine Engineer, Chartered Project Professional and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. Simon has a Bachelor\u2019s degree with first class honours in design engineering and winner of the Carr Memorial Prize, a Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree with distinction from Strathclyde Business School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simon lives in Devon with his wife Anna and has two young daughters.
