The aim of the MTPC is to bring together postgraduate students and early career researchers in marine technology to share and discuss their current research in a casual environment. It also provides up-to-the-moment insight for industry attendees into current live research themes, demonstrates facilities and other research capabilities at universities, and reveals wider research networks, exemplifying industry and research sponsorship relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference is open to all interested undergraduates, postgraduates, academics and industrials. It will be an opportunity to learn about the research currently being undertaken by postgraduates in marine and maritime technology, and direct access to potential future employees. All the three options require presenters to submit an abstract for review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Research Presentations:<\/strong> This will be a 20 minutes session, which will be strictly enforced by the conference chairs to ensure the punctual running of the conference. It is recommended that you aim to present for 15 minutes leaving 5 minutes for audience questions and feedback. The presentation will be given in a standard university lecture theatre with an overhead projector, screen and audio with wifi coverage via eduroam (if you wish to connect for the purposes of your presentation please ensure you know how to login to your account whilst away from your host university campus).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Posters<\/strong>: You will need to print your poster and bring it to the conference. Your poster will be displayed in the designated poster area during the conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Three Minutes Thesis (3MT)<\/strong>: The 3MT competition is exclusively for first-year PhD students.
