From concept generation and optimisation through to structural assessment and performance prediction, AI has the potential to change how naval architects approach the early stages of vessel design.

This webinar, AI-Assisted Ship Design, will examine how emerging AI technologies are being applied to one of the maritime sector’s most complex engineering challenges. Using Nay Min Htein’s research as a starting point, we will explore how artificial intelligence can support the generation of ship hull forms, automate elements of structural design and help engineers evaluate design options more efficiently.

Agenda

Opening and introduction – Professor John Hudson

AI-Assisted Ship Design – Nay Min Htein

Panel discussion – Nay Min Htein, Jake Rigby, Evangelos Boulougouris and BAE Systems representative.
