Patrick is an Honorary member of the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights in London and a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) where he represents maritime interests on the IoD Scotland Policy committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout his career, he has been driven by a clear purpose: creating sustainable, high-value jobs in the maritime sector. Many across the UK maritime community will already know Patrick for his work bringing together industry, academia and government. This has included establishing Maritime Research &amp; Innovation UK (MarRI-UK) and the Scottish Maritime Cluster, where he continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director.
