With extensive capability, connections and cutting-edge facilities the University of Plymouth is leading the world in maritime cyber security research. Our Maritime Cyber Threats Research Group is the largest and strongest of its kind, reinforced by robust partnerships with industry leaders and a presence in over 25 countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan. Its Cyber-SHIP Lab Annual Symposium, co-hosted by the United Nations International Maritime Organization, is the premier forum for innovation and cyber resilience knowledge sharing between academia, industry, governments and defence forces worldwide. We are uniquely placed to make significant contributions in maritime cyber security as the nation seeks to protect itself against this Tier 1 National UK threat.
