Description:

DEEP will enhance the
operational efficiency of ships. Power input and angle of attack, in case of
controllable pitch propellers, are controlled by the operator in modern
ships. This project will develop an AI system that can monitor the
operational conditions and structural health of the propeller to enhance its
operational efficiency. The instrumentation embedded into the hollow
structure will monitor its deformation, acceleration and force distribution
to measure generated torque and detect cavitation and corrosion. The AI
system can generate corrective action and predict maintenance work based on
these data.
