MarRI-UK is thrilled to announce the successful launch of the UK Maritime Research and Technology Roadmap initiative with our first workshop at the Port of Tyne Innovation Hub in Newcastle on 12 Nov 2025.
This milestone event brought together MarRI-UK members and key stakeholders from across the maritime sector to:
- Explore critical themes shaping the industry’s future
- Assess the current research and technology landscape
- Identify priority building blocks for innovation
A huge thank you to Dr Jo North, Technology and Transformation Director at Port of Tyne, and Jake Rigby, BMT (Chair of MarRI-UK’s Technical Working Group), for expertly facilitating an engaging and productive session. Jo’s outstanding facilitation skills ensured the workshop was highly interactive and collaborative, creating a dynamic environment for sharing ideas.
