Welcome to the MarRI-UK weekly roundup!
Last week, the UK maritime sector continued to build momentum at the intersection of energy, defence and innovation. From floating offshore wind technology reaching commercialisation and major offshore wind projects moving forward, to new carbon capture activity and growing investment in nuclear-powered capabilities, the UK is strengthening its maritime industrial base. Defence innovation is also opening new opportunities for civilian applications, while major shipbuilding and infrastructure projects are supporting jobs, skills and supply chains. Globally, offshore renewables, clean maritime, smart technologies and nuclear power continue to shape the future of the sector.
