Welcome to the MarRI-UK weekly roundup!
Please note that the next MarRI-UK Weekly Roundup will be on 1 June.
This week’s MarRI-UK round up highlights a dynamic period for the UK and global maritime sector, spanning innovation, policy, and geopolitical developments. Regulatory uncertainty is in focus, with FuelEU Maritime calculation errors posing significant financial exposure. Offshore wind and clean maritime continue to advance despite fluctuating demand signals, while defence collaboration, particularly on Global Combat Ship programmes, intensifies. At the same time, geopolitical tensions, notably in the Middle East, are influencing energy security, supply chains, and investment decisions, reinforcing the need for resilience and coordinated action across industry and government.
