MarRI-UK Maritime Round Up #134

Welcome to the MarRI-UK weekly roundup!

Last week demonstrated how maritime innovation is increasingly moving towards real-world application, with technology being developed to address both environmental and operational challenges. Offshore energy continued to drive innovation, with new subsea robotics and autonomous systems reducing the need for diver-led operations, while advances in alternative marine fuels and offshore energy infrastructure supported the transition to lower-carbon operations. At the same time, emerging applications of nuclear technology and AI highlight how the boundaries of maritime innovation are expanding, creating new opportunities for safer, more efficient and resilient operations.
