Welcome to the MarRI-UK weekly roundup!

This week highlights continued momentum across UK maritime, with major offshore wind investments, naval developments and clean energy initiatives reinforcing the sector’s strategic importance. Globally, newbuild activity remains robust—particularly across LNG carriers, tankers and container vessels—despite capacity constraints and market uncertainty. Meanwhile, the ongoing Iran conflict continues to disrupt global shipping, driving volatility in freight markets, increasing operational risks and accelerating the need for resilient, low-carbon and secure maritime solutions.
